Eyal Benvenisti is Whewell Professor of International Law at the University of Cambridge and the Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law. He is also Professorof Law at Tel Aviv University and Global Visiting Professor at New York University, School of Law. He was Visiting Professor at Yale, Harvard, Universityof Toronto, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, and gave a special course at The Hague Academy of International Law (2013). Professor Benvenisti’s areas of research and teaching are international, constitutional and administrative law. He is Project Director for the “Global Trust – Sovereigns as Trustees of Humanity” research project, funded by an ERC Advanced Grant, Associate Member of the Institut de Droit International, co-Editor of the British Yearbook of International Law, and also member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of International Law.
