Dr. Fan YANG, now assistant professor of international law at Xiamen University, China; initiator and Deputy Director of Cyberspace International Law Center (CILC), Xiamen University School of Law. Also performing the duty of Deputy Director of International Economic Law Institute there.

With a combined background of Communication Engineering (Bachelor Degree at 2003) and Law (Juris Master & LL.M. at 2010, and Doctor at 2016), Fan has been serving as Executive Editor for Chinese Journal of International Economic Law, and a Editorial Board Member for the journal Information Security and Communications Privacy. He has published multiple articles, both in Chinese and in English, in the field of cyberspace international law, sovereignty theory and international economic law.

Fan is now mainly interested in interdisciplinary research of international law in the digital era, especially application of international law in cyberspace, international governance of cross-border data flows, as well as compliance of data law under domestic regulation.
