Prof. Roger O’Keefe is aSenior Lecturer in Law and the Deputy Director of the Lauterpacht Centre forInternational Law at the University of Cambridge, as well as a VisitingProfessor at the Central European University in Budapest. He has published andlectured widely on international criminal law, international humanitarian law,international human rights law, and international cultural heritage law, aswell as on topics of general interest in public international law such as thesources of international law, the law of treaties, the relationship betweeninternational and domestic law, statehood and admission to the United Nations,title to territory, jurisdiction and immunities, and state responsibility. In2004 he was awarded the Giorgio La Pira Prize by the Journal of InternationalCriminal Justice. He has taught on the United Nations International LawFellowship Programme in The Hague, has been Director of Studies on the SummerProgramme in Public International Law at the Hague Academy of InternationalLaw, and has given courses in international law in Argentina and Germany.
