Prof. Photini Pazartzis



Photini Pazartzis is Associate Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athenes. She has been Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law of the University of Cambridge (1998), Visiting Professor at the Universities of Bordeaux, Paris-I, Paris-II (Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales), Director of Studies at the Hague Academy of International Law (French section, 2003) and has lectured in various universities and institutions. She is President of the Hellenic Branch of the International Law Association (since 2002). 

Member, Greek Delegation to the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly (1999-2007), Member of the Hellenic National Committee for the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law, Member of the Hellenic Council on Citizenship, Member of the OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration (since 2013). She was recently elected Member of the Human Rights Committee ICCPR (as of January 2015). Her fields of interest include settlement of disputes, international judicial institutions and procedures, international criminal law.
