Dr. Amrith Rohan Perera PC is an Adviser on International Legal Affairs. He was Legal Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka for a period of over thirty years, and has negotiated on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka, a range of Treaties, covering diverse subjects, including Bilateral Investment Treaties. He was a Member of the International Law Commission (ILC) from 2007 - 2011. He is the Chairman of the UN Ad- Hoc Committee on Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism (established by Resolution 51/210 of December 17, 1996), which is currently negotiating a Draft Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. Dr. Perera is a Visiting Lecturer in Public International Law in several Universities, and is the author of many books and articles on International Law.
