Graduated from Xiamen University, China (Doctor of Law, 1990; Master of Law, 1984; Bachelor of History, 1982), Huaqun ZENG has served the society in various professional positions, including Law Professor (1991-) and Director, International Economic Law Institute (2000-2016) at Xiamen University; Member, the Curatorium and Co-President, the Administrative Council, Xiamen Academy of International Law (2005-); President, Chinese Society of International Economic Law (2011-); Associate Editor-in-Chief, Journal of International Economic Law, Beijing (2018-); Member, Editorial Board, Chinese Journal of International Law, Oxford (2002-); Member, Advisory Editorial Board, The Chinese Journal of Comparative Law, Oxford (2013-); Legal Consultant, People’s Government of Fujian Province (2001-); and Member, Panel of Conciliators, ICSID (2017-). His major fields are Theory on International Economic Law, International Investment Law, WTO Laws and Legal Issues on Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. He visited many institutions for teaching and/or researching, e.g. National University of Singapore, Singapore (1998-1999); University of London, UK (1996, 1998); Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, Switzerland (1995-1996) and Willamette University, USA (1987-1988). He publishes extensively academic books and journal articles and won the National Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Social Science in 1995, 2009 and 2013.
