Dr. HUANG Jiefang is Zhou Gengsheng Chair Professor, Wuhan University. Before joining this University in 2021, he was Director, Legal Affairs and External Relations Bureau, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).Starting from 1996, he consecutively served as Legal Officer, Senior Legal Officer, and Director of Legal Affairs and External Relations Bureau, representing ICAO at various meetings and bodies of the United Nations, including the Third UN Outer Space Conference, UN Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force, and the UN Office of Drugs and Crime. In 2010, He participated in the planning and organization of the Diplomatic Conference in Beijing, at which the Beijing Convention was adopted. Other positions previously held include: Third Secretary, the Chinese Embassy to Canada; Dean, Law School, Civil Aviation University of China; Vice President, International law Association (Canadian Branch); Senior Teaching Fellow, Institute of Air and Space Law, McGill University; Member of the Editorial Board of the Annals of Air and Space Law.
