Huiping Chen is Professor of international law at Xiamen University School of Law. She received her Ph.D degree in international law from Xiamen University in 1999. She teaches international investment law, public international law and international human rights law. Her research fields focus on international investment law and transboundary watercourse law. She has rich publications in both Chinese and English. She was visiting scholar at Leiden University (2000-2001), Fulbright Researcher at Georgetown University (2006-2007) and Freeman Fellow at the University of Illinois (2012-2013). She is Secretary-General of the Administrative Council of Xiamen Academy of International Law and deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of International Economic Law.
